The C.A.R.E. ministry provides four things for the church:
(1) The C.A.R.E ministry sees the church as people not a steeple.
This ministry mobilizes every member of the church to use his or her gifts. It helps us see the church as bodies and members instead of bricks and mortar. You are a piece of the puzzle that makes up the picture of Jesus our church is painting for the world to see.
(2) The C.A.R.E. ministry balances the Great Commission.
The Great Commission is more than just outreach. It consists of inreach (teaching) and outreach (baptizing). The church cannot reach out and neglect reaching in and it cannot reach in at the expense of not reaching out.
(3) The C.A.R.E. ministry gives people opportunities to minister.
C.A.R.E. is ministry sensitive. It is a big step from the pew to an overseas mission trip. C.A.R.E. is sensitive to how busy people are and the stronghold of inadequacy. C.A.R.E. creates a "baby step" that allows people to experiment with their gifts.
(4) C.A.R.E. saturates the church and community with a positive message.
The message of C.A.R.E. is, "my name is _____ from the Daleville Baptist Church. I want to let you know we care. Is there anything I can pray about for you?" This message produces two results. First: a positive reaction. Second: an open door (Colossians 4:2) to share what Jesus means to me and what He can do for them.
